Yoga Yama is a yoga business run by Dr Helen Nicholas and Gordon Teasdale. We understand that you have provided us with personal and sensitive information and that this information is important to you. We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. We review this policy annually to ensure that it complies with the latest GDPR and ICO guidelines and we are registered with the ICO (ZA297738) 

 

WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect the following information:

  • Name, contact information including email address, postal address, and telephone numbers

  • Information relevant to your preferences and interests

  • Information about your current health, wellbeing and medical history including injuries

  • Cookies to help us provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not

  • We do not store any credit/bank card or payment details. Payment for our classes, events and workshops are usually made either via BACs transfer or our online payment devices.

 

WHAT WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better workshop and educational yoga services, and in particular for the following reasons:

  • Internal record keeping.

  • We may use the information to improve our workshops, events and training.

  • We may periodically send you information about upcoming events and workshops or other information which we think you may find interesting, using the email address which you have provided.

  • From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for suggestions and ideas about future workshops you would like us to run. We usually contact you via our newsletter that you would have subscribed to receive. We may use the information to customise our websites according to your interests.
